We had a fun August enjoying the good weather and spending time together. Besides unpacking we went on many bike rides, hikes, and walks. We enjoyed getting to know the area and meeting new friends.
Each Friday we would go to a park & play with the ward play group. It was a great way to meet new friends and enjoy the outdoors.
We went to Yellow Springs one Saturday and on our way found this beautiful sunflower field and had to stop to take a family pic!
There was a small festival in Clifton which is by Yellow Springs.
We enjoyed all the fun vendors and the kids enjoyed learning how to use a bow & arrow!
The kids will be attending Monticello School which is funny since Brandt also attended Monticello Elementary being from Monticello, UT.
Can you tell who may be a bit nervous?
First Day of School- Wed. August 22nd
The kids were nervous and excited, but it all went well.
They have great teachers and have made lots of friends.
This is them walking to school one day to the bus stop through our neighborhood. They are growing up so fast!!
And getting on the bus- they are so, so cute!!
The first day of school- Jenna ended up missing the bus going home. Scared me half to death, but when I arrived to the school she was sitting out front laughing with a couple of the teachers!
She was really nervous that first day- it was good to know she did well.
The kids have adjusted well to a new school, new friends, and the new area. Not to leave out a a new step dad!! They are doing well- I am so proud of them!!
I started at Sinclair College the next week on August 28th. I took a Nutrition class and enjoyed it and an on-line class through U of Akron. Life has fallen into place and things are going well!!
