Highland County Junior Fair

We went to our first goat show.  Loni and Morgan (my sister Becky's Kids) were showing their goats.  It was so cute and they did a great job.

Loni took 3rd place

Morgan did such a great job with the goat and had a lot of poise.
All the kids got Blue Ribbons!

The whole group- such cute kids!

Our Ward Family...

We have a wonderful ward family.  I have been amazed at the people, the love, the support, and the service. Our ward also has a lot of military families and is very transitional.  Many families come and go.  On a Monday night we had a ward family home evening that was also a goodbye party for about 4 families that are leaving.  I wish I had more pictures of these amazing families.  We are going to miss them, but I am so thankful to have gotten to know them.  This night was so much fun with perfect weather, yummy desserts, and great company.  I did not want the night to end.

The Bishop of the Ward- Bishop Williams has been amazing and has also been my OB. He is calm and sweet and has been a great friend, bishop, and doctor.  We love his family and will miss them.
Our primary made him a Superman Shirt (Brandt's idea and my craftiness) and everyone signed the back.  We loved seeing him wearing him at the FHE.

It was a Perfect Night

3rd Grade Field Trip

For Jenna's 3rd grade field trip they went to Carriage Hill Farms.  It was so much fun they.  They had been learning about Eco Systems so they went on a hike, learned about Bugs, and went fishing with nets.  Jenna has many friends and I loved watching her go from friend to friend.  She is independent and was not at all attached to me- didn't sit with me on the bus or eat lunch with me.  But, she would walk and talk with me.  I have seen her this year continue to grow and gain confidence.  It was also wonderful to hear what a wonderful student she is and how all the teachers love her!

I can't believe this is the end of third grade for Jenna- she is growing up fast!

Being a Mom...

Mother's Day was wonderful and spent up in Akron, since I graduated the day before.
It was wonderful to spend the weekend with my parents, especially my mom.  I was thrilled to have accomplished so many goals and the main one was to graduate with my bachelors.  I also knew that I could not have done it without my mom.  I am so thankful for her love, support, friendship, and above all her great example that she is to me.  I wanted to be a mom because of her love of being a mom.  And I love watching her as a "Nana"- she is amazing!!

On Mother's day the guys made dinner and they did a fantastic job.  My dad, Brandt, and a friend of ours, Seb Schaat.  It was a good day and I felt so happy and blessed to be with my family.

I love being a mom- these TWO are crazy, funny, loving, sweet, lots of trouble, and the best things that have happened to me.  I have become a better person because of them!

Saturday night we had an Ice Cream social to celebrate my graduation and my dear friend, Shauna came.  She has been my friend, my visiting teacher, my Relief Society President, and a woman of great faith that I look up to.  We share the same birthday and have similiar personalities.  I love her.  We are both pregnant.  She is having two girls and is due 10 days before me!!!

I am so excited and feel so blessed to be adding to our family!!  A little nervous as well.  This is me the day after mother's day at 24 weeks.  I feel great and all is going really good.  I feel great and am healthy.  I still complain over heartburn, no sleep, lower back pain, and feeling huge.  But, I really wouldn't trade any of it.  I know it is a blessing to have this little girl join our family and we are so excited!!!!

Graduation

I did it.
In January 2009 I started this venture of going to school and pursuing my 4 year degree.  I was scared and overwhelmed and many times I wondered if I would ever make it.  The last four (or more) years have been filled with so many good memories, good experiences, lots of learning, tears, frustration, laughter, new friends, love and support from old friends and I couldn't have done this without my mom and family.
I am ready to close these chapters of my life and excited for the new chapters that have opened and where my life is headed.  I have been so very blessed and thankful for each experience life has given me and all the learning and growing I have done over the years!!

Family Fun Night

We have been earning "Family Fun Points"- 1 for each day as the kids are good during family scripture study.  Then after we have reached 10 points we celebrate with a fun family activity.  This time we surprised the kids and to them to a carnival being put on my the Air Force Base Exchange.  It was crazy and expensive, but the kids had a blast making themselves sick!!!

I love those two smiling faces- I think this was the favorite ride!

 They sure are adorable!!!!!!!
(And I am not biased..)

It was a fun evening being together!!!
