So our April Fools joke was played on us by the baby. After the crazy weekend- I couldn't remember if I had felt the baby move. I had been feeling the little flutters for the last few weeks. I went through Monday, April 1st, and could not tell if I felt anything that was baby related. By Tuesday morning I was in tears and was afraid something was wrong. I didn't know what to do and couldn't tell if I was being emotional or if it was real. I called my Visiting Teacher (friend from church) and she recommended someone in the ward (church unit) that is an ultra sound tech. I called and she actually said I could come over at the end of her shift and she would check for me- for peace of mind.
I did feel peace all day, but didn't know what that meant. I was relieved to be able to have someone I know from church be there for me and do an ultra sound. The minute I heard the heart beat- I felt better. Tears filled my eyes and I said a prayer thanking my Heavenly Father.
The baby was a mover- my friend was surprised I hadn't been feeling the movement.
One active little thing!! That is why the image is a little blurry!
She then asked me if I wanted to know the sex of the baby. I did, but I knew the family would be mad if I found out and they weren't there. Brandt was with the kids- since it was spring break.
So she printed off a picture and folded it up so I could take it home.
That evening we all went to dinner and talked to the kids and then opened up the envelope with the pics in it.
We were so surprised and happy to find out we are having a GIRL.
(I really thought it was a boy- but a very happy surprise)
I feel so blessed!!! I am just glad she is growing and developing and doing well.
We already love her and can't wait to add her to our Family.
Now to start thinking of Girl Names!!!
On Wednesday the kids and I met my mom in Columbus and we went SHOPPING!
It is tradition that after we find out the baby's sex that my mom takes us shopping and we pick out the outfit the baby will come home in. It was a great day and the kids loved every second of it. This is the outfit the kids chose with my mom. I already don't get a lot of say. I just love how happy they are for this baby to come and be a part of our family!
