Farm Life...

A couple weeks ago we drove down to my sisters, Becky's to visit!  It was Morgan's birthday and they had just gotten two baby goats.  It was fun to live the farm life for a day with her and to celebrate Morgan turning 7!!!  We love not being too far away from each other- it is just about an hour drive.  :)

The girl is Black Licorice and the boy is Smokey.

So fun to go and get eggs!  Yummy!

Becky and her father-in-law built this cool gate for the garden.  Loved it!!

Happy Birthday Morgan!!!!

April Fools... Baby update

So our April Fools joke was played on us by the baby.  After the crazy weekend- I couldn't remember if I had felt the baby move.  I had been feeling the little flutters for the last few weeks. I went through Monday, April 1st, and could not tell if I felt anything that was baby related.  By Tuesday morning I was in tears and was afraid something was wrong.  I didn't know what to do and couldn't tell if I was being emotional or if it was real.  I called my Visiting Teacher (friend from church) and she recommended someone in the ward (church unit) that is an ultra sound tech.  I called and she actually said I could come over at the end of her shift and she would check for me- for peace of mind.
I did feel peace all day, but didn't know what that meant.  I was relieved to be able to have someone I know from church be there for me and do an ultra sound.  The minute I heard the heart beat- I felt better.  Tears filled my eyes and I said a prayer thanking my Heavenly Father.
The baby was a mover- my friend was surprised I hadn't been feeling the movement.
One active little thing!!  That is why the image is a little blurry!

She then asked me if I wanted to know the sex of the baby.  I did, but I knew the family would be mad if I found out and they weren't there.  Brandt was with the kids- since it was spring break.
So she printed off a picture and folded it up so I could take it home.
That evening we all went to dinner and talked to the kids and then opened up the envelope with the pics in it.
We were so surprised and happy to find out we are having a GIRL.
(I really thought it was a boy- but a very happy surprise)
I feel so blessed!!!  I am just glad she is growing and developing and doing well.
We already love her and can't wait to add her to our Family.
Now to start thinking of Girl Names!!!

On Wednesday the kids and I met my mom in Columbus and we went SHOPPING!
It is tradition that after we find out the baby's sex that my mom takes us shopping and we pick out the outfit the baby will come home in.  It was a great day and the kids loved every second of it.  This is the outfit the kids chose with my mom.  I already don't get a lot of say.  I just love how happy they are for this baby to come and be a part of our family!

Air Force Museum

For Spring Break one of the things we did was the Air Force Museum!  We had a great time.  I went by myself with the kiddos + 2 that I babysit.  They were very well behaved and we enjoyed looking at the planes and the few hands on things they had.  It was good fun on a cold day!!

Easter Morning

Easter was Wonderful!!  My parents, Didi, and her two kids stayed at our home Saturday night and then we all attended church together.  After church we did Easter baskets and had Easter Dinner!

I loved having my nephew and niece with us.  They are so much fun!!!

My kids were cracking me up!!

They were spoiled rotten as ever!!!
It was a great Easter!!!

We are so thankful for the Atonement in our Lives and to be able to celebrate Easter as an Eternal Family.  We feel so blessed by our Father in Heaven.  We see his hand in our lives Daily and feel blessed to have the gospel and the truth and knowledge we have from it!

Happy Easter

A friend invited us over to her home to use her backdrops and allowed us to take pictures.  (The bunny was theirs)  The kids had a great time and I was thrilled to get some cute Easter Pictures!!

Happy Easter!!

Easter Fun

On Good Friday- the kids had no school.  I babysat two boys, so we decided to color eggs!

The kids had a blast with it!!

On Saturday we went to Becky's for a Family Easter get-together!
We had a great time with all the cousins together.  We colored eggs again!

The Easter Tradition of the Bunny Cake!!

We did a huge Easter Egg Hunt!  The kids had so much fun!

They found lots of eggs and got lots of candy!!

It was fun to have farm animals, as well!

So the Easter Egg Hunt was not enough- so we added a pinata!
It was a great day filled with family, food, and farm animals!!!
